About This Blend:  This blend is based on a recipe for old fashioned soap made from grandma's shortening, which was easily found in the pantry.  In the 1880's, Crisco incorporated Coconut and Plam Oils into their shortening, making it a terrific base for soap making. I've balanced the ingredients in the recipe to create a hard, creamy bar with rich lather.

Fragrance Notes: Evokes the feeling of getting away to a cedar log cabin in the woods, surrounded by nature; serenity and comfort. This is our version of Yankee Candle's popular "Forest Glen" scent. It's a north country blend of green herbs, pine, relaxing lavender, and sun-kissed citrus. Its heart is formed of wild mountain rose, with a base of woods and musk notes. Very nice in body care products, and, needless to say, in candles as well.

Soybean Blend Ingredients: Soybean Oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Distilled Water, Lye, Fragrance and Green Oxide.

I use only pure, unadulterated oils and butters to make my soaps.  I only purchase from suppliers who test & uphold strict standards for purity.

I'm able to purchase almost 100% non-GMO and Organic materials.  The prices are getting better as folks vote with their dollars and sense.

Whenever possible, I purchase products with the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal, because they are grown and harvested on farms and forests that follow sustainable practices.

I calculate the recipes, weigh, stir, pour and cut every batch of soap personally and I won't sell anything I'm not 100% happy with.

I purchase Fair Trade materials whenever possible, such as Shea Butter.  The price is higher, but the quality is also better.

I buy palm oil that is RSPO Certified, because they promise no deforestation, no peat development, and no exploitation (NDPE). See Ingredients.
