Natural & Organic Soaps

I understand how important it is use sustainably grown,  free trade products in my soap making, even when it costs a little more.  Whenever possible I purchase Kosher, Vegan and Organically grown materials.  The few suppliers I purchase from are very proud to carry items like QAI-certified organic Palm oil, sourced from Colombia, and holds USDA, NOP, RSPO, and the well respected Rainforest Alliance certifications.  The palm oil industry faces major objections due to its production impact on wildlife, specifically orangutans in Borneo and Sumatra.  They are intentional about the country of origin of our palm oil and seek to source product from countries where the orangutan is not native.

NATURAL

I use only pure, unadulterated oils and butters to make my soaps.  I only purchase from suppliers who test & uphold strict standards for purity.

NON-GMO

I'm able to purchase almost 100% non-GMO and Organic materials.  The prices are getting better as folks vote with their dollars and sense.

RAIN FOREST FRIENDLY

Whenever possible, I purchase products with the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal, because they are grown and harvested on farms and forests that follow sustainable practices.

HAND CRAFTED

I calculate the recipes, weigh, stir, pour and cut every batch of soap personally and I won't sell anything I'm not 100% happy with.

FAIR TRADE

I purchase Fair Trade materials whenever possible, such as Shea Butter.  The price is higher, but the quality is also better.

SUSTAINABLE

I buy palm oil that is RSPO Certified, because they promise no deforestation, no peat development, and no exploitation (NDPE). See Ingredients.
